Dear Special Friend of The Vineyard: You are one of the first to hea r the latest news. First we areaffiliated with Fr. Blaney's Sharing Meadows so they are able to help us obtain workers for The Vineyard Home. Second, the Benedictine Sisters of St. Agnes Chipole have designated Sr. Gloriosa Komba, OSB as the lead Sister to help reactivate The Vmeyard Home. The St. Agnes Chipole Convent in Tanzania has over 300 Sisters and they are in the process of sending two more to work with Sr. Gloriosa. Sr. Gloriosa stayed with the folks at the home in 2008 for several months and will be coming from Christendom Graduate School in May. Sister is processing her Student Visa to convert to a religious worker visa. This process costs from $2,200.00 to $3,500.00. Now you know why we have so many "non-documented" visitors in the USA. We have one donor to help so far but could use many more. Since the home has been in a caretaker status there will be many start up items of repair, replacement, refmish particular in light of the extra heavy "global warming" snows ( 30" 36" & 18") to mention just a few along with lower temperatures of this past winter. Thanks to Sr. Marie, FSJ and the two St. Leo'sK ofC along with Bill, Scott, Randy and Larry, wood heat kept the home warm enough to prevent major structural damage. Yet a lot of touch up is needed to bring up to "snuff". By now you note that while our affiliation can get us workers we need to get the volunteers and funds to provide the materials to use. You will be delighted to visit with Sr. Gloriosa who talks as fast as a New Yorker with a British "Twang". On the reverse Sr. introduces herself and seeks your prayers, suggestions and help.
