DIRECTIONS
The directions to the Vineyard Home are as follows. First locate Cumberland, MD or Winchester, VA. We are located about 60 miles west of Winchester, VA or about 45 miles south of Cumberland, MD.
From Winchester:
Find U.S. 50 west. Proceed along U.S. 50 west through to Romney, WV (approx. 40 miles). Continue on west 50 through Romney and out of town. From Romney you will travel 7 miles to Junction (route 220/50 junction). You will make a left onto U.S. 220 South. continue with directions in last paragraph on this page. (from Junction)
From Cumberland:
from I-68: Take the Greene Street/U.S. 220 south/Ridgedale Avenue exit towards the Fairgrounds. Bear Left on U.S. 220 south (approx. 20 miles) to Keyser, WV. Continue on U.S. 220 south through Keyser. Bear left and continue on U.S. 220 South out of Keyser until it intersects U.S. 50 (about 5.2 miles). U.S. 50 and 220 will merge to one road. Continue on 220 South/U.S. 50 through Burlington, WV and to Junction, WV (about 10 miles). This will be the junction of U.S. 50/220, U.S. 50 and U.S. 220. You will make a right turn onto U.S. 220 South. continue with directions in last paragraph on this page. (from Junction)
From : Front Royal area's
Take I-66 to I-81 South, bearing left onto
I-81 toward Strasburg. Go 4 miles and take exit #296--Rte. 55 West.
Take Rte 55 West approx. 19 miles into Wardensville, WV, continuing
through Wardensville & onto the new freeway portion of Rte. 55 West to its end
in Moorefield, WV (approx. 23 mi.)
After exiting the Rte. 55 freeway, you will come to a stoplight at Rte.
220/28--turn RIGHT (North). Proceed down 220/28 approx. 15 mi., passing the
Purgitsville Post Office on your left. Approx. 1 mile later, immediately past
the Ruritan building on the right (set back on a field with a marquee sign near
the road), you will come to "Rilla Smith Rd."--turn RIGHT.
Proceed on Rilla Smith over the wooden bridge and follow the signs to
the WINERY.

From Junction:
Proceed about 4.5 miles south on U.S. 220 south (also know as state route 28) slow down. You will be passing a converted country store on your right (this will also be an intersection with Rada Road on the right). Proceed slowly about 750-1000 feet, look to your left and you will be approaching two white houses followed by a school bus shelter at the end of a gravel road. Turn left (east) onto the gravel road with the school bus shelter. If you come to Mill Creek Ruritan (large white building) and ball field on your left you have just passed the road. You will come to a wooden bridge about 100 ft. after you turn into the road. After you cross the wooden bridge and follow the Winery signs up the hill.
